According to the Circular, some basic features of the medical examination and treatment information system are as follows:
- Inputting information on medical examination and treatment following the form of the management of medical examination and treatment and inputting data in a specific structure or through the application programming interface (API).
- Developing dynamic reports that combine different forms, such as tables, diagrams, charts, and visual graphs.
- Information page for announcements and updates on information under the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023: operational licenses; results of the quality assessment of medical examination and treatment facilities; working hours, lists of practitioners, working hours of each person at facilities; medical service prices, prices of request-based care and support services, and recommendations and solutions to medical incident prevention.
- Managing information on hospital discharge of each outpatient, inpatient, outpatient treatment case, and day treatment case; permitting the calculation of the incidence rate, mortality rate, and distribution rate of each disease based on age, gender, occupation, ethnicity, and administrative location and the structural index of each case.
- Managing causes of death in cases of death at medical examination and treatment facilitates, death on the way to medical examination and treatment facilities, and information on severe patients requesting hospital discharge.
- Managing updates on information relevant to practicing licenses of practitioners: professional scope, practice registration information, and information on continuous updates on medical knowledge.
- Managing updates on information relevant to the operational licenses of medical examination and treatment facilities: information on professionally responsible persons, lists of practitioners, lists of persons practicing medical examination and treatment, and information on professional operations, technical lists, and patient bed scales.
